Great cooking made easy!
|
On your plate cooking classes are designed to help participants gain more confidence in preparing foods for family and friends, and to have more fun while doing it. The classes are hands-on with several recipes prepared during each session. But they are more than recipe sharing, they're about learning principles and techniques of food preparation. Participants will be able to sample all items made in class and will receive copies of all recipes. Novice cooks will become familiar with new ingredients and how to use specialty kitchen tools. Menu planning and food presentation (the eyes eat first!) will be a part of every class. The classes are held in a comfortable home environment. |
CLASS SCHEDULE

|
The numbers are in, and my schedule at BHS for spring
semester looks very full! I'll have at least 80 stuents in Foods
of the World classes, as well as two additional classes of Child
Development, each day. In order to be sure I do justice to those students, and preserve my sanity, I have made the difficult decision to not schedule any on your plate classes this spring. I'm afraid my days are going to be hectic, and that when we have a day off, I'm going to need a day off!
|
I plan to continue to offer on your plate classes during the summer of 2008 and will notify those on my email list when they are listed. In the meanwhile, please let me know if you have ideas or special requests. I will miss my contact with my on your plate customers. You are always such enthusiastic and fun learners! |

Comments from recent class participants:
- In April, I participated in Pam's Italian cooking
class. The class was very well organized. The recipes she selected
each taught us something -- a new food, a new technique -- and then
came together to make a wonderful dinner which we enjoyed with our
new friends. Pam gave us tips on where to find specialty foods,
which brands were best, etc. I would recommend this as a girls'
night out. Lillian Wientjes, Mobridge, SD
- I have attended most of the classes that Pam has offered. I keep going back because I can learn about new foods in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. They are great classes for every level of cook. I look forward to getting the new On Your Plate schedule and making my reservation for the new classes. Sonja Moilanen, Bismarck - Olivia and I had a great time! It was a nice activity we could do together. Now that she is getting older its nice to find activities we both enjoy. Olivia has an interest in cooking so of course that makes a difference. I would definitely recommend it for other mothers and daughters. We are looking forward to attending other classes together. Tammy Becker, Bismarck - Very well organized, well-paced and delicious. Full of very useful information. Sheila Guvakosky, Minot |
